Mr. Frank Mensing, Canada - SV Judge  Performance Judge

 

World renowned and respected SV Judge Mr. Frank Mensing is Canada’s first SV Judge.  Frank was the driving force behind the formation of the German Shepherd Schutzhund Club of Canada and was instrumental in brining schutzhund to Canada.  As a respected SV Judge he has judge all around the world and has judged “ The Worlds” in Germany.  Frank breeds under the kennel name “Norbreeze” and has judged many times in Winnipeg.  As a judge, competitors respect Mr. Mensing and appreciate his critique and realize that they have earned their degrees as he is known to be a hard but honest judge.  Schutzhund Manitoba is honored to have Mr. Frank Mensing back to Winnipeg to judge the 2008 Prairie Regional Championships.

 

 

Herr Wilfred Scheld , Germany

Judging the Sieger Show and Breed Survey will be well respected and popular SV Judge from Germany Herr Wilfred Scheld.  As one of Germany’s most senior judges and with the responsibility for the “Herding Dog Program” Herr Scheld will bring immense authority and knowledge to our show.  This will be Herr Scheld’s first visit to Winnipeg, although Herr Scheld judged our Canadian Sieger Show in Calgary back in 2006.  Herr Scheld will be judging the Herding Class at the 2008 German Sieger Show in Aachen, Germany. 

Judge's Bio:
I am a member of the SV since 1971.
• As of that time I have held the offices of Club Secretary, Decoy, Breed Warden
and President of the O.G. Groß-Buseck.
• At the same time, on a regional level, I have been on the board of directors of the consortium Gießen for 20 years. I am responsible for all breeding related matters.
• Since 1985 I am holding several offices in the L.G. Hessen-Süd.  I am in charge of the membership, a member of the committee for bylaw and legal issues, arbitrator, since 1993 chairman of the LG Herding Committee and now in addition
Vice President of the LG.
• Within the SV I am holding the office of Herding Chairman since 2002.
• Within the VDH I am the herding coordinator and on account of this position I am a
member of the FCI Herding Committee.
• I play an active role in regional branches of the Sheep Breeding Association of Hessen and coordinate herding activities with the AAH (consortium for the breeding of Old-German-Herding-Dogs) and the VDL (National Association for
Sheep Breeding).
• I am a breed judge since 1989, in 1995 I was made Körmeister and in 2001 I also
became HGH-Judge.
• My judging assignments have taking me throughout Europe, the Ukraine, USSR,
Southeast Asia, Canada and the United States.
• I am breeding on a small scale; my kennel name is "vom Busecker Tal".
• In my professional life I am working as a chemist at the University of Gießen.
